Aeron Chair Headrest Reddit
Those of you who have gotten an aeron headrest what do you think of it.
Aeron chair headrest reddit. I ve sat on it for about 4 hours now and it s made my aeron feel like a different chair. I see that the aeron has a bunch of 3rd party headrest options avail but nothing for the embody. There s also the mirra but i m not sure about the hard plastic back. Aeron headrest any diy ideas rather than paying more than i did for the chair.
A another option in the uk is this website. As the herman miller aeron chair is reclined the headrest position will require adjustment so if you recline as frequently as i do you will need to adjust the headrest which means you will be tightening the swivel screws more often. The chair feels very comfortable to me without the lumbar support but maybe my body is still just adjusting to the. Because the embody uses a fabric on the seat and back it allows for far more dynamic expression in 10 different colors than the cool gray of the aeron chair.
The aeron s 500 for posture support and swivel armrests and the steelcase v1 is half that usually. All that is needed is some form of screw. That being said i have the bar lumbar support and it really feels like i can t find the right place for it on either reversible side and always feel like it s jamming into my back a little bit. I hated the seat of the aeron and the price was too steep for a none perfect chair. Spring loaded mechanisms work better the mesh pad also incorporates basic height adjustment it slides up and down two thin bars when i adjust it to the top and. I just installed an atlas headrest on my aeron today. I typically switch between aeron and leap back and forth to get past my work day.
Only thing is i love reclining on my chair when i m watching videos on my pc or lazy gaming so i feel like i might miss the headrest on the embody. The herman miller embody headrest is a feature the aeron chair does not have. I ve had my remastered aeron for over 2 years now and haven t been able to consistently sit on it comfortably. But even that 55 plus shipping i feel there must be a way to do a diy solution.
Plus if it s the leap v2 i know it s not a 20 year old chair. I can actually sit on leap comfortably for the entire day. I experienced fatigue after each workday due to that. I m not saying the aeron is trash because i used one crappy mesh chair but the leap is more of a known quantity.
Atlas seems like the best aftermarket one but its nearly 200 to get shipped to the uk. Also the headrest was so far back i could not use it to rest. I am slowly getting used to my new aeron but when lounging i can t help but miss having something to rest my head on but due to their cost 150 200 here i don t want to risk it if they don t work very well due to the chair ergonomics. I ve read online that if you re bigger taller 6ft the embody is a better fit overall for most.
1500tm was a terrible option all around. Designed by herman miller veterans. The only aeron headrest recommended by herman miller for bid specs. Ergo chair 2 had terrible arm support and the for some reason was hurting my back.
